By EMMANUEL BOAZ Three fatalities are reported dead and 12 seriously injured in a fatal road accident involving a mash company bus and a lorry at Kibarani. The Mash bus was from Kitui headed to Mombasa and it was just minutes away to their Mombasa station when it was involved in the accident. The lorry belonged to Multiple Haulers “The bus and the lorry were headed towards the same direction whereby the bus rammed into the lorry on the rear side after swerving to the lorry’s side hence causing the accident. A bodaboda operator Mr Suleiman Shanga Chitumbo who was heading to town at the moment the accident happened said that the lorry was in front of the bus when he saw the bus swerving to the Lorries lane causing an impact that forced the lorry onto the pavement. At the hospital the culprits were being attended to. Speaking to Rev Johanah Songok a relative of Reuben Mwadime who is now in critical condition at coast general hospital, he said that they had a rough time trying to get medicine at the hospital. “I had to go and buy intravenous infusion from the chemist in order for my patient to get treated,” Rev Songok said. “I am to take my patient to Jocham hospital or Aghakhan hospital later because he will not be attended to properly while he is here but I must recommend the nurses here for the good work they have done so far,” Songok added.
