TRANSPORT PARALYSED AT JOMVU.
By EMMANUEL BOAZ Transport was paralyzed at Jomvu when angry residents blocked the Mombasa Nairobi highway for two hours. Juma Mohamed a resident of Jomvu for 64 years claims that there is plenty of dust emitted from the road as vehicles speed by. The dust spreads out to Hotels, residential houses, shops and businesses in the open. Due to this reason, the residents have been experiencing breathing problems. “We have tried to raise our problems to the ministries concerned but no action has been taken so far” Mr Mohammed said “All we want is water to be sprinkled so that there is no dust emission when cars speed off in the area.” he added The angry residents vowed to continue blocking the road until when action shall be taken. “We are waiting for thirty minutes after which we will block the road if no action is taken.” The residents said.
